Maria Stella Moreira has received her PhD from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2010. She received post-doctoral training at the Basic Research Laboratory of Restorative Dentistry Department in University of Sao Paulo from 2012 to 2017.
Dr. Stella Moreira is currently Full Professor of Ibirapuera University at the postgraduate program and Professor at the Universidade Nove de Julho where she teaches Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics. Also, she is researcher and works at Department of Dentistry, Heart Institute, Clinical Hospital, and Hospital do Servidor. Her time is divided between clinical work with focus on endodontology, teaching as lecturer and clinical instructor, and research. She takes part in research group at University of São Paulo, School of Dentistry, working on translational research on regenerative endodontics, hydrogel scaffolds, mesenchyme dental stem cells and photobiomodulation for dental pulp tissue engineering and repair.
Dr. Moreira is member of executive committee of World Federation for Laser in Dentistry (South American Division). She has published numerous articles in the field of biological effects of laser on inflammation, wound healing and dental pulp tissue engineering. She has also received awards for her scientific work and has extensively lectured nationally in clinical as well as scientific meetings.
